The highlight of Conner’s career so far has been the bronze medal he won for England at the Youth World Championships in Hungary in 2018, but very big things are expected from the man now excelling on the GB boxing team.
Like his friend and fellow ambassadors DJ and Kerry, Conner is working towards the Paris Olympics in 2024. The light-heavyweight has certainly come a long way since walking into Moss Side Fire Station Boxing Club as a wide-eyed eight-year-old.
As well as working hard in progressing his own career, Conner has joined forces with Maverick Stars to work on projects that will help other young people stay on track to achieve their goals.
Conner said: “The support I get off Maverick Stars is helping me continue my path and I want to work with the charity to help others just like me. It’s hard to stay motivated and in the gym when there are so many distractions, but hopefully I can be an example to others.”
