Maverick Stars Trust is offering support to England Boxing-affiliated clubs that can offer immediate relief to their communities during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Maverick Stars is keen to help children and young people affected by school closures who will now have difficulty receiving free school meals.

The following information needs to be provided by the club, on the Community Food Hub Support Application CONTACT FORM .

Clubs need to source a local community partner to provide food, or if they have their own kitchen, make up food bags themselves.

  • Clubs need to have evidence of how many young people they want to support
  • The value of support needs to be no higher than £2.50 per child, per day.
What the Maverick Team have done...

The Maverick Stars have teamed up with some of the North's best boxing clubs to help provide nutritious meals for vulnerable children and young people who might not otherwise get a proper meal during this Coronavirus Pandemic.

Moss Side Fire Station, Jimmy Egan's in Wythenshawe, Oldham and Timperley among other clubs in Hull and Sunderland are working with us to provide these much needed meals. What we hoped would be a short term project has quickly turned into a huge effort to help all of these communities, in these uncertain times. We have now extended our project indefinitely.

Maverick Stars would like to thank everyone who has played a part and continues to do so in this immense project, especially those who give so much behind the scenes.
